What is a Student Leadership Summit?
A Student Leadership Summit (SLS) is an event organized by students to promote guidance and professional development through fun events such as presentations, socials, and technical events. Previously hosted by California Polytechnic State University , it is a great honor to continue the tradition of providing opportunities on behalf of San Jose State University for students to network with professionals in the transportation sector and streamline their interpersonal and leadership skills.
This year we have decided to host this summit one-hundred percent virtually, which meets the safety guidelines and provides the flexibility for more students and professionals to attend this event. Although we can't meet in person, we plan on hosting a fun and memorable experience for all of our attendees!
What can I expect for the 2022 SLS?
For the upcoming 2022 SLS, the San Jose State Chapter plans on hosting a 3-day event which will cover:
- Friday: Welcome/Social Event
- Saturday: Interpersonal and Professional Development Sessions
- Sunday: Technical Sessions and Student Competitions
How to Sign up
Early registration for the SLS begins on September 3rd through October 10th. This will be the only discounted price for the event at $15 per student, and $30 per professional attendee. After said dates, prices will be adjusted to meet the normal/late registration fees. The Eventbrite link to sign up will appear on this website for early registration on Friday, September 3rd, 2021.
